SLEEP STUDY
In 2009 Dr. Marcel Hungs, an attending physician at the University of Californa, Irvine and the director of the Center for Sleep Medicine, began a double blind, placebo controlled, pilot sleep study on the effects of Celliant mattress covers on sleep disturbances in patients with chronic back pain. The study employed several sleep disorder and sleep quality measurement techniques to determine if sleeping on a mattress pad containing Celliant improved the quality of sleep and decreased the number of nocturnal awakenings experienced by subjects. The pilot sleep study was conducted on six subjects over a 42-day period and the results were extremely positive. Based on the success of the pilot trial, we are moving forward with a full clinical trial with testing expected to begin in September 2010. Click here for the preliminary results.
